Elbow Lake

Sunday we spent the day swimming and boating at Grandma & Grandpa's Cabin on Elbow Lake.

The water was a little cool, so we slowly
adjusted to the temperature

by floating on our baby raft
and walking along shore.

After playing in the lake for over an hour,
Ember was in need of a quick bath
before our boat ride... she was covered in sand.
The bathroom sink, just the perfect size for Me.

4 Wheeler

There are so many new things to see on the Stock Farm.

Daddy and Ember found grandpa's 4 wheeler.
She got really excited and had to check it out.
Lets take it for a drive...
Vroom, vroom.


Grandpa said Ember had her eyes on the keys the
whole time they were driving around.
After the ride was over, Ember's mission
was to pull them out of the ignition.
Got them.... and in the mouth they go.

Mommy Time

Monday - Ember & mommy took an extra day off after the 4th celebration for some Mommy and me time. We spent the day shopping and playing. We also went to a local park where we climbed the jungle gym and went down the big slides together. Ember's favorite part... the swings!!

Daddy, I think we need a swing in the back yard.

Tuesday Evening - Mommy and me time continued while Daddy
spent the day caddying in a golf tournament. We found a new use for
the large diaper boxes... playpen! :)

Ha.. tipped it over, and she's free.

Strawberry Festival and Pool Party

Today was a busy day for for us. Friends, Jenell and Ben, came for a visit. First we went to the Strawberry festival in Cedarburg. Lots of crafts and food for all.

I filled Ember's sippy cup to take along, but she's rather drink out of daddy's big glass.

We brought home some pizza and strawberries dipped in chocolate for lunch.

After lunch the kids went for a swim in Ember's new pool.

After all the swimming was done, the kids came back in to play and tried on more hats!

Dinner with friends

Friday evening we went to visit our friends, Erin & Josh, to check out their new apartment and have dinner. I forgot to pack baby food for Ember so she ate everything off of my plate: spinach & feta chicken brat, carrots, broccoli and potatoes. She loved all of it. Ember was grabbing it off the plate faster than I could feed her.

All of our mail started out on the counter next to Ember's Bumbo chair, but one after another it ended up on the floor, so we let her play /read the paper before dinner.

Saturday... in the park.

Today we attended a baby shower in a park on the shore of Little Cedar Lake. Even though the water was a little cold, we took Ember swimming and she loved it. She walked around digging her little toes into the sand, and then sat splashing around with her hands and feet, until she found rocks in the sand that looked good enough to eat.
